Default CD Changer Disco II

I recently purchased a 2003 Disco II S. I have a CD Changer from my old 1994 Disco I (Model AMR3053 CDX-M65zrv). In looking at the Disco II I think that the CD changer goes under the passenger seat rather than under the driver side like on Disco I.
The Disco II radio itself appears to have the controls for a CD changer but I can't find the wires anywhere under the passenger seat. Does anyone know if:
Will the CD changer from the Disco I will work on the Disco II?
Where are the wires for the Disco II (are the tucked up under something?)
Will it take some kind of wiring converter?

Thanks in advance.

1994 Disco I (250,000 miles, never had head off or had to do any drivetrain work?) Still runs fine - anybody want a true survivor?

The CD changer in a D1 should be under the passenger seat just like the D2. As far as I know the changers are the same for both series.

I have a D2 and I use an Alpine cd changer, but its under my driver seat, makes it easier since I dont have to get out and go to the passenger side to swap out CD's, i just go to the rear seat and reach under my seat.

Default CD Changer

There must be a lot of variability in the Discoverys? In my 1994 D1 the changer was under the driver seat and you accessed it from the door side (not from the back seat). The two electric cables were there and there were brackets under the driver seat that the CD attached to.

In the 2003 D2 it looks like there are brackets for the CD changer under the passenger seat. But I can't seem to find any power and speaker/control cables? Anyone know where they "stow" the cables if the car doesn't come from the factory with a CD. I can't imagine that they don't go ahead and install the wires? Just can't find them.

In my DII (and in the shop manual if I recall correctly) the CD changer is under the passenger seat (well RH side that is) and the amp is under the drivers seat (LH side). I'm not sure where the wires are routed though.

Mine is under the passenger seat, front facing but it's shot now... Who's idea was it to put electronics that low in a car that regular does water crossings anyway?

Yeah people who take their Disco's in the water either remove their CD players or relocate them.

Default Still can't find the wires?

Now that we've established that it ought to work and for the most part on the Disco 2 its on the passenger side - where the heck are the wires? I can not find any connections under the seat that appear to go the CD changer? Are they tucked up under something? There are two connections on the CD changer. One is yellow and has three male pins. The other is black and has 13 male pins. I am looking for the appropriate female connectors under the passenger seat and can't seem to find any?

So - where are they? Are they tucked up under the center console? I could not find them over on the driver side either. Surely someone has installed a CD and had to find the wires?

Thanks in advance.
