IIRC: If the CDL is on then, TC is disabled. If you engage the CDL *after* you start the car, you get both.
PERFECT. Im going to write that on a little notecard to remind me for the first few uses!

I am not sure. The shifter I have is from a 2004, it has the high low and the diff lock on the shifter ****. The cable and linkage look the same. The lever only goes up and down, it does not go side to side. I am not sure if yours even does this.

It sounds the same but if it has diff lock is should go side to side as well.
I'll let someone else weigh in on this because Im not 100% sure. UP might have an answer.

If it don't go side to side, then it has no difflock capabilitylook at the piccy posted below, it needs to be like that

Well, yes it does the same and is very similar, its just made / modded by them and the cable is sourced by Ashcroft as the "genuine" one is no longer available to buy. The picture you posted earlier is a standard "high / low" lever, they modfiy the lever stem, and add the cable assy to it.

This is "genuine" NAS spec "04" lever assy, you can see the difference Im sure.

And to answer your earlier question: if you set the CDL, the center diff is *locked*. It doesn't care whether you're in high-range or low, and there are occasionally reasons to run in high with the diff locked.

Dry pavement is not one of those reasons. :-)
