Default ceiling leak...most likely sunroof?

Hi everyone!! I promised, I searched the forums for this already, but I didn't see anything that seemed to fit my problem.

My husband and I removed the headliner after we realized we had a leak on the passenger side of my Disco, and the drain tube is clear. The only place water ends up is inside the vanity mirror on the passenger side sun visor. Weird, right? The RAVE manual didn't seem to help much, so if you guys have any idea on what could be leaking? My husband thinks we need to replace the whole pan around the sunroof, but thats a lot of work and I'd like to rule out something simple, if I could.

Thanks guys!!

Check the box that the hose attaches to at the sun roof, run water thru the tray and watch for it to leak. Have you poared water thru to verify that both drains are draining behind the front tires?

Not yet, we are almost too scared to mess with this truck, its unlike anything we have ever messed with before. But thanks, we'll head outside and try that now.

I'm not sure how common these are, but it might be worth a look:

I'm thinking that since the headliner is only partially removed, the water is leaking onto the headliner, and running off wherever it can. I would advise removing the headliner completely, and rechecking to see where the leak(s) are.

That is the only way to do this. One on the inside looking, one on the outside with a hose.

so we pulled the headliner out completely (Not fun), but we haven't been able to test for leaks yet because...it started to rain!! we did take the drip pan off of the sunroof (with a tarp thrown over the roof) and there are leaves everywhere!! the drain tubes on the front sunroof are crap. the corners themselves are leaking, and the tubes have broken off of the corners. should we replace the whole drip pan or silicone the tubes back in place?

Keep the head liner off and retest after sealing everything you can with a good silicone sealant. If that stops it then leave well enough alone. This is what Rover recommended the dealers to do years ago per a TSB.
