Default CEL P1590

At one point the truck had all of these codes:

P0161 - 02 sensor issue
P0734 - Gear 4 Final Ratio incorrect
P0304 - Cyl 4 Misfire
P1590 - Idle Speed Sensor
P0304 - Cyl 4 Misfire (Cool Twice Same Code!!!)
P0160 - 02 sensor issue
P0300 - multiple engine misfire

This was just prior to me buying the car. Before i bought the car all o2 sensors replaced, and the MAF was replaced.

When i ran the codes just a couple of weeks ago only two showed up.

P1590
P0160

I disconnected the Bank 2 Sensor 2 o2 sensor cleaned it and reconnected. that is related to the P0160 code (have not checked it again to see if its gone but it should be)

With all that said, i was reading the posts related to CEL P1590, one guy had a lot of codes similar to what the truck had, and when he replaced the MAF he said that they ALL went away BUT the 3 amigos. Yes they are on my car and i think its because of P1590 because its a Idel Speed Control sensor.

I want the damn CEL OFF and then i will buy the shuttle valve repair kit to take care of the three amigos. any help from people with the code P1590.

Thanks,

Scott

EDIT: Its a 2000 DII with a little over 92,000 miles. Flushed the engine thanks to Disco Mike... its SUPER CLEAN

Scott,
How is the idle, either cold or at operating temp? I can't find the 1590 code on my list so I am wondering if the idle control unit is dirty.
Maybe we should talk.

Well needless to say Dweb said that the code was called a "Rough Road Fault"

I went ahead and cleaned the TB, and idle control unit.

I cannot find anything about how to fix a rough road fault nor what or where the hell it is.

if anyone with previous experience can chime in on how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Mike for your help, they said that the noise from the breaks was "normal"

EDIT: Also i was told that the three amigos (even if cleared by a shop) would not go away (even if nothing was really wrong) until i can clean out the P1590 rough road fault. Also the stupid P0160 code is still there even after cleaning and making sure the wires are still good. Although the protective casing around the wires around the Bank 2 Sensor 2 had been mealted due to touching the exhaust. the wires are fine... but code is still there.

Your scourse was wrong on the code,
P1317 ABS Rough Road Line Low Fault
P1318 ABS Rough Road Line High Fault
These are the 2 rough road faults listed, 1590 is as I was told and passed on to you.

Hey mike,

Took it to the guy that worked at LR then stated his own shop. The ABS was throwing the passanger side front hub. Cleared the codes and what do you know, they are staying off. (also cleared the SES light).

He said that P1590 is a code that is going to "keep you guessing." most of the time it comes on when and with the 3 amigos and could be any number of things and will come up with different def.

That SES code went away with the 3 amigos but my P0160 is back im guessing its a bad sensor that went out when the missfire in cyc 4 started.

Well needless to say got it sorted out and going to replace the o2 sensor soon. Thanks for your help,

Scott
