Thank you! That is definitely something worth checking. I had a dual USB charging adapter that set basically almost flush, and it separated recently in to pieces, so could be at least part of my issue as well.

I still have not got this resolve, so I am guessing I have something shorted out in the center console where I put it back together. Would you agree?

Pro tip - just wire the cig lighter directly to your battery to get the wife off your back.

But be careful, the lighter itself is somewhat fragile so don't break it when you pull it apart to rewire it.

As stated before fuse 15, pull it replace it, if you replaced it before see if it blown again because a short will keep blowing the fuse and you will keep having the same issue.

thus, if it keeps blowing the fuse you will have to find the short. My guess would be your wives charger is shorting the system or it broke something in the lighter that is shorting the system.

I have two teenage daughter and a wife, i have visited this issue far to often.

I just had this issue on my wife's D2... Last time she removed her charger, it broke (the charger). Well, we failed to realize that the metal "nipple" on the charger was left inside the cig lighter. Every time she would plug something into it, it would short out.

So, my advice, make sure there is nothing wedged into the lighter itself and causing a short.

I have been busy with work and have not resolved my issue as yet. With nice weather this week, I will have to dig into it though. Rover trip to Uwharrie NF in 2 weeks, so I have to have it ready by then. Will see what I can find out and report back.
