Default Centering ball??

Ok, so my buddy gave me his old DS to rebuild but he started taking it apart and lost the spring and ball and i need a new one... where do i buy this?? i tried Atlantic british but nothing.

Any auto parts store, try a Percision 617 or cross reference it.

If it's a stock propshaft it's Precisoin 617 or Neapco 7-0081NG

ok, the spring was there... i had the Centering ball already but i was frustrated because i couldn't get the old one out, and i still can't. Can anyone tell me how? I've searched all over the net and nothing!! i found this forum in the UK and they used a slide hammer. i used one and had no luck.

I'm curious about the last step mentioned where he advises to remove the grease zerks and install ones that are cut off and pluged shut. I would assume it is so you don't break them off while offroading. What is the consensus? Do others do this or not?

I don't. I use flush fittings.

I think I've seen these somewhere. You use a grease gun type injector needle if I remember correctly. What size fittings does the LR take? Is is a standard one or some kind of obscure British pipe thread size???

Very nice!!! but insted of doing that i replace that drive shaft for the discovery 1 and work perfec!!! just replace the transfer case flanch and thats all... $30 fixs

A D1 front shaft won't last long in a D2 because of the angle. Better make plans to replace it soon.
