I have a 2000 discovery 2 td5, when I bought it the fob wasn’t working to open my landy, I was told to get a new receiver which I did well a second hand one.

The problem I’m having is the fobs will only lock and unlock my landy if the fobs are right near the receiver. I have replaced both batteries in the fobs.

Any help and advice truly appreciated.

 

There is an antenna for it, inside one of the rear side windows IIRC. I'd try to look for the connections to make sure they're good.
