Default Change celsius to farenheit

I just put a new battery on my 2003 Discovery. In the process, I cracked the tube/hose that runs from the radiator to the overflow container. I drove it about 5 miles and, although I was losing coolant, the engine only heated up a little more than usual before I turned it off. But, because the coolant sprayed around, it did steam up. I splicedthetube/hosetogether with a hose that appears to work. However, now my internal automatic temperature control switched to celsius (because I disconnected the old battery)and it appears as though no matter what temperature I set it at, it just kicks out cold air. I do not have a manual and would appreciate directions as to how to switch the temperature readout back to farenheit and any idea why I can't get heat into the car? The engine temperature guage reads just fine.

Thanks,
Donn
