Well, gotten lucky and haven't had them fall off yet.

Anyone know where I can get some chrome/polished lug nuts like I currently have?

AtlanticBritish, or you could take it to a shop and have them do it.
Also check e-bay, I have found lots of lug nuts on there.

I have been driving on my spare tire for 2 weeks now using the alloy lugs to hold the wheel on, just checked the lug tightness today...still tight.

Well....wtf? If I can just take it to a shop and have them do it.. what kind of lug nuts do I tell them I need?

Honestly I still do not see how these lug nuts will not work.

(Oh hey, btw Spike. Just noticed your in Grand Rapids. Ever deliver or pick up any goodies from ZZPerformance? )

After all the work to give the truck a blacked out appearance why would want chrome lug nuts? Makes no sense to me but whatever floats your boats. Any shop that sells wheels can get the correct lug nuts. AB sells lug nuts specific for the steel wheels.

No, where are they located?
I cant say that I have heard of them, but I am more than willing to go and check them out.

As for what lugs to use...Rover has steel wheel lugs and alloy lugs...thats all I know.

If the alloy lugs were not safe to use then why does LR not include 5 steel wheel lugs with the spare tire?
Or is that why the DII comes with a alloy spare?

I would reckon that be the reason Spike.

And as for where you can get new lug nuts Wolf, a former friend and I got some at Andersons a few years back. I figure you can get them just about anywhere, Advance, Auto Zone, Napa, hell, Wal-Mart might even carry them.

So I just need... steel lug nuts? Simple enough.

Spike, ZZPerformance is a 3800 performance parts dealer. Just part of my other hobby, and my sponsors competition. No big deal. lol

3800 is a damn good engine, one of the few good things that GM has ever done.

So who is your sponsor?
How did you get sponsored?
I looked into it alittle but it was all rice burner performance and ground effects stuff, also super high lifts and super sized super swampers.

Or maybe they went with the alloy spare for ascetics?
After all the DII is a produce of BMW, and they are all about looks.
