Default Changing valve seals

Just got my heads back from the machine shop, I didn't have them do a valve job at the time, for two reasons. I didn't know I had the new seals in my ab head gasket kit, and because he re-surfaced the heads for $50, and it'd be $150 more to do a valve job.

the truck has about 140k, never smoked. Should I put the new seals in, and if so, how hard of a job is it to do myself, i've never done anything to valves other than adjustments. But, I do have access to a valve spring compresser.

Stay away from them for now, your bigger concern are the valve guides that have a tendency to slip.
