I know he is joking but DO NOT put tape over the check engine light.
Go and get the trouble code(s) read and post them here and we can help you correct the plroblem.
We also need to know if it is a DI or a DII, gas or diesel.

Dude its easy! Open hood up. On left hand side you will see a big battery. Disconect it and your money!

well you could just ignore it, it will turn off eventually along with the rest of the truck!

This does NOT work, all that will acomplish is you having to enter the security code for your stereo as well as reprogram your presets.
