Default To Check... Or Not To Check.

After a long trip to Atlanta, during the leg home, my Check Engine light illuminated. I checked it with the scanner. 02 Sensor. So, I've been preparing to do the switcharoo when this morning the light would not come on! No light. I've shut down and re-started a couple of times today and I've got nothing.

Should I still assume that the sensor is bad?

how many miles? they are bad after about 60K, and always replace all of them at a time if they are old... Could have been a loose connection.

96 SE7 with just under 140,000 miles. I don't know when they were changed last.

I would replace all of them. You will get a bump in mileage and performance. I think DiscoMike has a link for them for around $70 a piece.

MIKE! Where are you?

I thought he found some for $70. probably for a D2 though. I could have sworn it was for a D1. I need to do mine, but am not ready to spent the $$ on it yet. Has to hit $4 a gallon before I can...

My Disco I is a pre avd evap system.

I got mine from Atlantic British for $110 on sell.(02sensors)

The Disco II' s 02 sensors are $70.

If some one does find Disco I's 02 sensors cheaper let everyone know.

02 sensors on my Disco I owners manual shows 82,500 miles for the first service interval.
I'm not sure on the next service time for mine.
You can call a dealer.
