Default Ck Engine light after throttle body cleaning

How long does it take for the check engine light to go off after the throttle body cleaning. She is not smoking anymore and I have driven about 50 miles.

Did you clean the t/body with the engine running, if so a BIG NO NO. You will have to go get the codes cleared with a scanner.
Always clean the t/body with the engine off, cold and then wipe out all the excess cleaner before restarting.

Dang it, I called it throttle body cleaning when what I actually did was the induction cleaning.

Mine went off the next day. I think I had started the engine up like 4 or 5 times and then it went off. Doesn't seem to matter the mileage, just how many times it has been started?
