When I bought my 2003 Disco, my front bumper was very badly cracked and broken in the center section. I decided to have a go at cutting away the damaged bits until the center section had a more uniform look. I used a Harbor freight angle grinder ($20) with a cut off wheel installed. I first trimmed away the worst side until I had vertical and horizontal edges, the cut the plastic away on the opposite side to match. That's all there was to it. See Pic.
