I used a black concrete mixing tub from Home Depot, gas, scotch brite copper color pad, and copper brushes. Out side of doing coil packs and wires, I would say do the Pcv mod

Oven cleaner(aerosol can) is cheap in any grocery store and does a great job of cleaning off oil and grime.
Maybe lay some cardboard and plastic under the engine for it all to drip on.
Spray it on, let it soak and foam for a few minutes, scrub with a plastic bristled brush, pour water from a bottle to rinse it off, and repeat until clean.
This is what my engine looked like when I got my D2, I had to use a putty knife to get the gunk off before I ever put any degreaser on it, lol.

I swear the cleaning takes longer than the actual job.

@mln01 Thanks I have read that STI are used, but I have also read some other brands are better.

My problem as it turns out no one stocks any plug wires up here that are any good lots of cheap stuff no good stuff.

And as I have to order figured I would check the accumulated wisdom of the forum

STI 7mm are fine. You can get them at a reasonable price from Rock Auto if they ship north of the 49th.

No, different brands entirely. Not to say NGK are necessarily bad; I just know STI are very, very good and often (usually?) less expensive than other premium brands.
