clicking under driver door
Ignition off, key out, have a clicking coming from under the passenger door. Took a pic so you could see the mechanism I'm talking about.

What He^ said!
If you have removed the rear air bags and installed springs then you need to go and have the SLS turned off in the computer to stop the noise. If you don't turn it off in the computer then it can drain your battery (happened to me)

Well that would explain the battery drain. Thank you both
The SLABS needs resetting if you have changed to rear coil springs (normal process with a suitable diagnostic tool or LR dealer with Test Book) or if you haven't you've picked up a cricket
on your tours or the NRV is letting by some air causing a 'chatter'.
PS. In fact, once you have disposed of the SLS and air springs you can remove the compressor totally or change it into a tire inflater but it'll take forever to blow up your tires. Whatever you do you need the SLABS reset.

good price......................you don't even get to stand on the 'WELCOME' mat in an LR main agent in the UK for $40 bucks.

It's been in there since I purchased this car second hand 3 years ago only lately has it been "clicking" non-stop.
Specs 99' D2.
Not that I am aware of. I tried pulling the fuse and the relay and if I remember correctly, ever time I would go over 10mph a warning "ding" would start sounding from behind the dash. I found no way around turning it off besides having someone with a computer switch it off.
