Default clip for locking diff connection

I am swapping my transfer case, I have an 04 disco but upon removing the old one the cable was not connected to the nipple on top.
Seems it is missing a clip for lack of a better term for the cable to connect to the nipple.
Anyone have one or know where I can get one? I called a few places and they had no clue

If you are talking about what I think you are talking about I'd call it a lever. I don't know what skills and equipment you have but it should be pretty easy to fabricate one if you can get a good picture of one. If I recall correctly what it looks like you should be able to do it with a short piece of flat stock steel from a big box home improvement store, an angle grinder and a drill press. I don't recall whether or not it has a bend in it. If it does you would also need a vise and a hammer. But that's just me, the completely amateur metal worker talking.

If I understood the OP the part he needs is called the Selector, which is a little over $10 if I did the exchange rate correctly. And boy, the cable price is outstanding. Not much over $100. Don't know what shipping would be but the starting point is great.

Great find.
