Default Clock Backlight not Working?

Per the title, my clock backlight is not working and it's driving me nuts at night.

Common problem and / or is the only solution a new clock?

There is a replacement bulb - Tiny little thing... that backlights the clock.

Scratch that earlier thought... You can use a pair of credit cards to remove the clock...

Here's a video...

You can get the replacement bulb from Atlantic British...

Wow.. that's it?! Amazing.. I should be happy that it's a simple fix but I had it worked up in my mind that it would be so much harder. thanks.

not easy to get the clock out.
I did it a few months ago.
Credit cards may get it out.
I would use cards you don't care about.

The bulb is a little dash snap in bulb. Orsam
2.5W or so.

Credit cards can be a little too thick. Use one of the plastic or plastic coated customer loyalty type cards from your grocery store that are a little thinner than credit cards and smooth, but are thicker and more substantial than a playing card or business card You can buy just the bulb as noted above, or you can buy the bulb in the plastic twist-mount piece that it is set in from AB for a little more $. I also took the ashtray/coin box out to get a little better view and see what is going on on the bottom of the clock when trying push the plastic lock mechanism flat to pull the clock out.

Ok.. this is sounding more and more like the Rover I know and love and less and less like an easy fix. So no Kings and Queens, ok. Loyalty cards. Off in search of loyalty cards... thx Rover
