Default Code 307

Need help,

Have error code 307. Changed plug wires and plugs and I’m still getting the same code. It’s a 2000 DII with 91,000 miles. Now what should I do?

What octane gas, what brand of plugs and wires did you install?

I replace using Magnecor 8mm wires and Bosch Platinum 4 plugs. I've used premium for the last 10,000 miles that I've owned the truck. Not sure what the previous owner did.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Is the engine idling rough or hard to start? You may want to check the plug for a crack in the porcelan and the wire boot to make sure it is not pulling apart.

I’ll check the plug and wire to check for anything wrong.

It starts easy. The missing is most notable around 1500 – 2000 rpm. The idle has never been real smooth.

Thanks,

Switched plug #7 and #2 (easy to get to) to see if error moved with the spark plug. Also inspected the plug wire at the plug end and did not see anything unusual. Still getting the misfire code on cylinder 7.

The only other things I can think of is the coil or the electronics that send a signal to tell the coil to fire. Any other ideas?
