Default Code Scanner

I have a 1996 Disco that was built in 5/95 Vin starts with SA. I am trying to find the port to plyg in to. I thought being a 96 model with the 4.0 in it I would have an OBD II plug but I have checked the drivers side and dont see one anywhere. So I looked for the leds under the passenger seat and dont see it either I do have the 6 disc cd player under the passenger seat and thought maybe it was moved. Can someone please help on this.

Thanks

Look under the pass side dash, otherwise if you have the OBDI it will be under the hood, most likely on the fender.

What side is it on the drive side or passenger side fender? ANd what color is the plug. Is there any other way to know if I have an OBD II or OBD I frin the emissions sticker or somewhere?

Thanks

I don't know if this helps or not, but on my 98 I had a hard time finding it. The previous owner had somehow managed to shove it up under the little plastic panel that hides all the wires under the dash on the driver side. I removed the 3 plastic plugs that held the plastic shield in place (down by the gas and brake pedals) then was able to retrieve the wire. Hopefully that will be the case for you...

Good luck

You have an OBD2 port down under your steering column.

on the plastic cover under the Driver's side. It may have gotten pushed back in, as previously stated.

It is not on your passenger side...
