coil pack fix
2002 disco 2 with approx 90,000 miles on the engine.
Dealing with some misfires while on a trip. side of the road repair right now. going to put in new wires and replace the coil packs. 2 misfiring cylinders p0303 and p0305. My question is....Because the coil packs are such a bitch to get at could I install the new wires and leave the coils loose tucked in behind the intake for a short drive or do I need to install them for grounding reason?
installing the packs and plugging the wires in behind the block is something I've done in the past but it's a nightmare.
Thanks for any help.

Pull the intake saves hands etc. I leave 2 coil pack bolts off and bend the ears back. Manifold moved easily. Coil pack are pretty resilient. It’s mostly wires and plugs. Use dielectric grease on wire ends. I use double platinum plugs no issues. We are a 4 disco 2 family
