coil spacer questions
Allright, after looking through about every post with the word spacer in it I still haven't found what I am looking for. Everyone says that if you are going to use spacers only use the 1" kind. Why does eveyone frown on the 2" ones? I have known many trucks that have used 2" or more spacers and they have never had any problems. With the bigger spacers is it easier for the bolt to snap that hold the perch onto the axle? I am currently sitting 35" from the ground to my wheel well and I would like to get it to 37". Also all you guys with the SLS with spacers and ome shocks, do you still use the offroad button that gives you the extra 2 inches? If so does this almost completely extend the rear shocks? I am really close to ordering the 1 1/2 or 2 inch spacers unless it is going to screw up the truck. Please let me know if I am going to get myself into trouble.
I used the 751s in the front for the 3 inch lift instead of the 1.75. I know that when I get a heavy duty bumper it will settle down around a 1/2 inch. Currently I am at 37 inches in the front with no vibrations or driveline issues. I just want to have my back springs (762's) to sit the same height. The back is at 35 inches. I am trying to set my truck up as a daily driver/ trail rig and was wondering why everyone is scared to go above a 1 inch spacer? If I put to much stress on a rear wheel will my suspension fail with the spacers?
