Is the misfire only on one cylinder? If so, I don't think it's going to be a problem with your coils. Do you know what type of misfire you have?

You need to hook up to a code reader and have all the saved fault cleared and then run the car for few days before reading any new stored faults. Only then will you get a clearer indication of where the the problem might (i.e. which cylinder/s are missing)be and give you a lead on a repair. The problem could be a number of things but a diagnostic reading of the engine will help.

Why erase the codes? They're just going to come right back. Especially misfires, that monitor runs constantly with the engine running.

By clearing codes you are then starting with a clean slate and any codes flagged up by a temporary fault are removed. Then after running the car a couple of days before reading the codes again you find out those that are persistent.

Here's a copy of RAVE look at the tables on pages 18-2-28 on for the fault codes relating to all cylinders and O2 sensors http://www.landroverresource.com/doc...hop_Manual.pdf

Also page 18-2-80 for more on the coils and you will notice that the cylinder giving the faults i.e. 1 and 7 are on the same coil so may be a worthwhile exercise swapping them.

The torque settings of 7 & 38 relate to the 1st and 2nd stage tightening sequences for the manifold bolts.
Inlet manifold bolts - initial tighten 10 Nm (7 lbf.ft)
Inlet manifold gasket clamp bolts 18 Nm (13 lbf.ft)
Inlet manifold bolts - final tighten 51 Nm (38 lbf.ft)

The centre one is the bolts on the clamps holding the manifold gasket (sometimes referred to as the valley gasket) in place.

The other torque setting you need is the Plenum chamber bolts 16 lbf.ft

You should go to page 12-2-47 in RAVE and follow the tightening sequence detailed there for the inlet gasket.
