Cold Turn Signals
When outside drops to +20F or under, my turn signals take an extended time to start flashing. From switch throw to actual blinking might be 15 seconds. Is there anything outside the passenger compartment that cold cause this when OAT drops?
I haven't done any real study, but it doesn't matter what the temp is inside, as long as it is cold outside, the flashers are delayed.

I have read a lot of people say it is common and that you just have to deal with it. I had the same problem and replaced the stalk and it fixed it. Has not happened at all since replacing. Same problem exists with wiper stalk. I am going to replace that as well, but it is $300+ so I am waiting to order it.
I'd bet that it is because the stalk literally shrinks in the cold and the contacts have trouble connecting...
maybe open it up and find a way to extend contacts? I'm not sure what the D2 stalk looks like internally.

No relays outside the passenger compartment? I would believe a cold relay before the stalk... It does not seem to matter if the interior is cold or warm, delay is still significant only if it is cold outside...
But I'm not ruling out anything. If I have any luck, I'll post results.
