computer is dead
Ok, for those of you who care, and I know that 99% of you dont, my laptop has all but died, and because my wife is starting a on-line buisness I cannot use her computer except when she is not using it, so, until I get mine up and running again I will not be on here as often as I would like, good news for you, bad news for me, I will be getting the DT's within the hour.
YES!!! And I am going to be rich!!!!
No, she makes stuffed animals and such for kids, you tell her the colors, the theme of the room, boy or girl, etc. and she makes the animal to match.
Its starting to make money, she is working on her banner ad and such so that takes lots of computer time.
The battery is bad and the power cord is also bad for my laptop, so if I move/bump the computer hard enough it will just shut off, then I have to reboot and hope that I wasnt in the middle of a long e-mail/post.

I know you said the power cord was bad but it could also be the ac jack on the back of the laptop, often times the jack will get torn off the motherboard a little and just need to be soldered back on, that or glued lol (thats what toshiba did to mine). If it is the ac jack then go to where it plugs into the laptop bump or wiggle it and if it turns the laptop off then it needs to be fixed or it will eventually fall completley off or hit one of the circuits and ruin the whole motherboard.
I think LRScott hit the nail on the head, if I wiggle the power cord where it connects to the back of the computer it will shut off.
I will open it up this week and see if I cannot fix it, thank you.
I will report back once I know for sure.

Be careful when opening it up, make sure you are grounded otherwise you might ruin the motherboard circuits with electrostatic discharge. What kind of laptop is it cause, some you can just unscrew one thing and the whole keyboard will pop off revealing basically every component. I'm not so lucky cause on mine you have to take the whole damn thing apart to fix anything. Good luck on your repair Spike the ac jack is usually pretty easy and there are probably some articles online that will guide you through it.
