Default Computer Replacement

Hello to everyone,
I'm having problem with my Disco2 (2003). SRS light won't turn off , I was told in my service that computer and airbag replacement is needed, but airbags were never been used and changing them would be a great cost. Is it possible in this situation to change just computer? Is it a problem if computer and airbags are unpaired?
Thanks for helping.

Some one doesn't know what they are talking about.
Has anyone with a T4 or Auto Logic type scanner gone into the ECU and checked for faults?

Everything is possible, because in service they didn't told me what the OBD code reading exact said... Could be something that demands for whole airbag unit (computer and airbags) to be changed?

Go somewhere they can read the codes, if there was just a power glitch you can clear the code and turn off the light otherwise you'll need to fix the problem, then reset the light.
