So, my dad took the truck to a local shop to get the o2 sensors replaced. He was throwing a single code (can't recall specifically but it was I think bank 1...)
The shop ordered new o2 sensors and when they showed me dad, he compared them to the ones they pulled out. They look completely different. The shop insisted it was fine but now the truck throws even more codes:
p0130
p0135
p0154
p0155
Here's a pic of the old and new side-by-side. Did the shop mess up? Any info is greatly appreciated.
different manufacturers' sensors do look different.
if you have access to a reader, that might let you see the live data from the sensors to make sure they're actually working.
do you know what brand the new ones are? there have been a lot of people reporting on here that bosch ones (and several other brands) have a high failure rate out of the box. walker brand sensors seem to be much more reliable.
Yes they are fine they do look different
but tell you what most times like 90 % when you get a o2 sensor errors it’s not the o2 sensor
its something else causing it
