Default Consistant jerking...

Hey Guys I’m hoping someone can help me out.

My ’96 Discovery has been having this one issue that local mechanics can’t seem to fix.

The check engine light hasn’t come on yet. When I drive the engine almost seems to choke. It’s really bad when I’m accelerating, like getting onto the freeway on-ramp and has slowly gotten worse. As of today, it’s gotten so bad I’m not driving it until I can get an idea of what is going on.

The engine almost seems like its not shifting or not getting gas. It feels like its pulling back and jerking (not vibrating) and when I step on the gas nothing happens. And it consistently jerks throughout the drive once I do get it up to freeway speeds. It’s never stalled and turns over just fine.

I’ve had the fuel pump, fuel filter, and fuel relay replaced.

Any thoughts? Please help. Thanks.

Remove and clean your IAC motor (it is located on top of your upper air plenum) and see if that fixes it.

Once I unscrew it, justclean it out? Do I need to use anything special?

Thanks for your help.
