Convert from N Type 7 way to US type 7 way

Convert from N Type 7 way to US type 7 way
I'd like to pull the round 7 way LR trailer wiring kit apart and put a 7 pin US style connector on so I don't have to go back to Land Rover every time I want a new trailer hooked up to my Disco 2.
I've got the pinout diagram for the N-type connector on the Land rover OEM towing kit, and I have a pinout for a standard US type 7 way connector. A few of the wires just don't match, though.
Here's what I have on the Disco side:
P1 - Yellow, LTurn/Hazard
P2 - Blue, Fog Lights
P3 - White, Ground
P4 - Green, RTurn/Hazard
P5 - Brown, RH Tail
P6 - Red, Brake
P7 - Black, Plate/LH Tail
And here's a US 7 way:
P1 - White, Ground
P2 - Blue, Brakes
P3 - Brown, Tail
P4 - Black, 12V (battery power)
P5 - Yellow, LTurn
P6 - Green, RTurn
P7 - Orange, Aux (or purple, reverse)
So, what is the best way to convert? Obviously left and right indicators, and ground are easy as they are common between the connector types. The brake lead is common on the OEM connector, but the brakes are handled on the same pin as directional on a US 7-way.
Anyone have experience? Or a source for inexpensive parts? Thanks!

I think the problem you are going to have is going from the European 7 way to US 7 way. I have yet to see an adapter in all of my searches. Since my Disco didn't come with the tow option, I bought the Atlantic British wiring kit http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/9439C.cfm and an adapter similar to http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too..._734794_734794 so I could eventually wire trailer brakes, and have the option of pulling a trailer with either a 4 way flat or 7 way round without having to use an adapter.
From what I've read, the European 7 way does not have a provision for trailer brakes, since trailer brakes aren't used (illegal?) on that side of the pond.

Those all seem to simply be the 7 way plugs for the vehicle and trailer.
I'm asking how one would convert things such as the single brake lead into a combined brake & turn signal lead for the US style socket. If I'm thinking straight, if I just jump the single brake lead to both indicator leads, then when I put a blinker on, both lights would get voltage and therefore blink.

That's pretty much what I was afraid of. Ugh. Well, in that case I guess I'll just end up with the BA kit. I suppose the upshot of using that kit could be that I can keep the 4-flat inside the vehicle when not in use, which will cut down on corrosion quite a bit.
