Short answer is no. What do you mean exactly? You can see bubbling w/ the system sealed and the truck running? Check your hoses coming into the coolant tank, may have an air leak. Temp needle steady?

Bubbling in the coolant is often an indication of a head gasket leak, I believe. Or possibly a bad radiator cap. I'm not saying that's what it is though.

I can't remember, but doesn't the reservoir have a small return hose to it (from the intake somewhere)? It could be that.

So how bad is it bubbling and can you tell where the bubbles are coming from?

Bubbling while running...I'l check the cap and hoses. Head gasket worries me, is that common?Would a pressure test show a head gasket leak?

Thanks

Stop driving the truck till you can line up someone to check it, you get it too hot and you'll loose the engine.
Any question call me.

Thanks...the coolant was flowing in the tank, not boiling upon later inspection. Thanks again.

This confused and concerned me also and the LR Disco is different from most cars in that it does not have a sealed radiator with a separate overflow reservoir but a combined radiator/reservoir. Unscew that cap while the engine is hot and you are in a world of hurt.

I also noticed that the PS pump resevoir has a boiling appearence when the engine is running.
