I have been hearing the past few years it is a gamble with the plastic coolant tanks sold in the market. I suggest going with this. More pricey but worth the peace of mind:
I don't recommend the Genuine Land Rover part. Bought one two years ago and within a year it developed 4 cracks that seeped, while the original lasted 21 years. Replaced that with Carrs4x4 aluminum part and it's been trouble-free for the past year.
The last one I bought was from an Amazon seller. There are a few sellers today at ~$30, but they're all two-day delivery (PCF101410).
You show a pic of the smaller nipple with the line that runs to the throttle body heater. If it's cracked at the base of that nipple, this is your opportunity to bypass the TBH, at least temporarily.
You can cut off or break off the nipple and insert a #14 screw to seal the hole. Maybe wrap the screw with a little Teflon tape. Then just insert a small bolt in the line running to the TBH, holding it in place with the hose clamp. That's what I did ~9 years ago and it worked fine until I got around to replacing the reservoir.
The CARRS4x4 tank has worked well for me for several years but its pricey compared to the oem Behr PCF101410 but I would make sure its actually the Behr brand and and not URO parts or Britpart crap!
FCP Euro has a Mahle brand tank. I have only run it for just under a year but it's a different plastic than the Ebay ones I have had. It seems to be better quality. They have overnight shipping
