Coolant drip from front of engine.

LEAK FOUND!!!! I think...
Well I was going to go to the junk yard today and try to get myself some disco 1 wiper blades but I found my leak instead. More accurately the Land Rover gods decided to show me where my leak was. Me being the aircraft avionics technician that I am I must know why something is doing what it's doing I cannot stand to throw parts at something, so I have theorized the following reason that the coolant was dripping from the front of my motor. Firstly the problem was/is the hose on the top of the radiator on the driver side, instead of the hard plastic line leading to the pressure tank attached to the radiator with a U shaped piece of rubber hose secured by clamps, I have some jerry rigged garbage of another short bit of hard plastic line spliced with a small section of rubber hose and no sort of clamping devices at all. But this wasn't where my leak was coming from you say, I have an answer for that. It goes as follows:
1. While driving down the road, the rigged up hose assembly would spray small amounts of coolant over the front of my motor whenever the hot coolant from the pressure tank would be returned to the radiator.
2. It would then slowly run down the front of my motor gathering on a bolt on the bottom until it dripped off. This process taking a while is what made me think that it only occurred when the engine was cold, when in fact it was probably about 30-40 minutes after I stopped the truck.
3. This also explains the coolant pooled up on the horizontal pipe on the passenger side of the water pump, but not having any coolant coming out of the weep hole. The coolant was being blown by the fan all over the front of the motor.
4. This also explains the distinct smell of coolant all over the front of my motor.
