Default Coolant error

I have an orange colored coolant in my system now and not knowing it mattered I topped it off with a yellow coolant. Will I be O.K. waiting until this coming Saturday to flush and refill my system?

Thanks

Yes, I don't think you could have added that much

From what I understand the yellow coolant is replacing
the Dex-cool.

Just curious. Do you know why you had to top-off your system? Hope you don't have a small leak somewhere.

I couldn't find one, but well see how the level stays. Anyone know what coolant I should run?

You can use a number of different coolants as long as you flush properly and stick to one in particular and get the mix right. I switched from DexCool to Amsoil PG this change for a few reasons one of which is PG unlike EG is non-toxic, another is DexCool has had some alleged issues with sludging in some vehicles with very low mileage.

I had the green crap in mine. I flushed several times and filled with Dexcool. Runs cooler. I am happy.

Do you guys recommend fluching w/water or with an over the counter "coolant flush?"

sorry for asking such basic question, but I know it's a vital system.

I would just use water as most things made to flush are hard on the
head gaskets.

On my 96 it came with the green antifreeze and I change mine every year,
keeps things clean .
