I haven't noticed any signs of leaking however since it came back from the shop. I'm adding 50/50 mixture. After reading this thread i'll have to check the throttle body for signs of leakage.
Look underneath your hood and see if there is a white powder in any particular place, it results from the evaporation of the coolant.

Autozone has the tester to rent. Have it hold 20psi for fifteen minutes.

If it is the TB heater plate and you fix it get a Genuine kit not Britpart, it will go in much easier. I recently did mine and I used large sheets of 180 then 220 grit sandpaper to recondition the gasket surface on the TB to get a nice large flat surface, then used Permatex Aviation Gasket sealant on the gasket.

I have heard that simply putting Black gasket maker will solve the leak, but have not done that myself.

Thanks for the feedback.

Just a quick follow up. I've been monitoring the coolant temp the past few days via an OBDII scanner. Seems to be running warm. It gets to about 212-220F on the freeway but this is rush hour so stop and go and even go means only about 30-40 mph. When i'm moving it drops to about 210-212 but when stopped spikes to around 220. I did a pressure test yesterday. Pressurized to 20 psi, after 30 min it lost about 0.75 psi, after 60 min it dropped a total of 0.9 psi and after 90 min didn't lose any more. Since the pressure drop leveled off, i'm thinking there isn't a leak (pressure drop maybe just due to hose expansion etc...?). I put in a bottle of Water Wetter just because its easy but not expecting that to do much. If I see that Water Wetter actually does anything I'll post.

Honestly those temps are just about spot on for a stock 195F thermostat. I would certainly install a 180F unit, and probably replace the radiator at the same time.

Thanks Gentlemen:

The shame of it is I just brought it in for a bunch of new hoses and they replaced the T-stat (w/ stock 195). I should have told them to get a 180.

I'd still swap it for a 180F, the britpart unit is only 30-35.00 online or from Lucky8. You did not hurt your LR, I have seen temps well past that 229-232F and the D2 never had any issues. Does it put more stress on it? Sure, but did you ruin your LR? No you did not.
