Default Coolant temps, just curious.

I was just curious what everyones trucks run at temp wise? Mine seems to hover between 197-203 putting around town, seems to sit rock solid at 197.6 on the highway. I set my alarm for 210.
(PS, this was with the A/C on)

On a side note, somehow I managed 21.5mpg today. Must of had one hell of a tail wind My normal is around 18mpg.

Mine runs at a steady 196 once fully warm on the expressway, 200 in town, 200-210 while offroading.
A/C on or off makes no difference.
My t-stat is a 195.

190-200*F.
Anything over 220 turn on the heat and start looking for a place to pull over.
230 be very very worried, 240 cross your fingers, 250 you now have a boat anchor.

Thanks for the heads up. That sounds about normal for an aluminum engine...

How are you guys getting an exact read on your temps? The stock gauge is more of an educated guess.

I use my OBDII scanner that reads live data, I only use it once in awhile, like on long trips or while off roading.
I asked for a Ultra Gauge for Fathers Day though.

Thanks photocrimes...I've been looking for an excuse to get rid of my blackberry...where did you get the obd2 bluetooth dongle? Feeds live data I assume...is your scanner plugged in all the time? How does the android OS receive data?

Plus this:
Torque - Android app on AppBrain

= good times :-)

PS. Just FYI, the torque app people warn you not to use the cheap ebay adapters, but the name brand ones are over $100 and all of my friends are using the cheap adapter(as am I) and none of us have had any issues.
