Cooling giving me anxiety

I have a genuine 180 grey stat, second one in a year too. All new cooling system including radiator, hoses, water pump, reservoir with cap, and hd fan clutch. I cruise at 190-195 all day long. Idle temps are 203-206. Don't worry about anything under 210.

If you get a 180F Thermostat online/local and it’s white/clear with MOTORAD on it return it ASAP or toss it into the trash! Grey OEM/Black Britpart is the only way I go or recommend.

Well, here seems to be my problem. I knew I screwed up by thinking that the 180deg claim was correct on that autozone thermostat.

Yep usually you can tell what the temp really is by reading the temp rating on the actual copper guts of the thermostat or at least on the outer rings. Auto Zone used to only sell OEM temp stats by motorad. They list 180F but I think that is false.
