Default Cooling System Test - D2

where can I get adapter to test cooling system pressure on my 2003 D2? my pressure tester will fit a twist lock radiator fill, but I need adapter to connect to D2's threaded fill,

The loaner testing kit at my local Advance Auto had the correct adapter. It was the yellow one, IIRC.

There is another less sophisticated or crude test for suspected head/gasket leakage into the coolant system. You can stretch a condom over the neck of the reservoir and block the overflow pipe with a clamp which will also tell you whether there is undue pressure created in the coolant system. Crude but often effective.

Don't let the wife find the packet though.................she'll never believe you.

so that's why my wife is carrying all the condoms, checking for cooling systems

This one has the correct adapter :

Cooling System Pressure Test Kit at National Tool Warehouse

I cranked my system up to 22 PSI and found two leaks right away, one from the small hose under the reservoir, another from the radiator top hose.
