Cooper tires...
Hi:
Do you have any experience with Cooper Discoverer HT Plus, ST or ATR (265/60/R18) ??...
I need to change my Discovery II 2004 HSE tires (Michelin Synchrone 4x4 255/55/R18) and I´m looking for references...
Thanks !
P.D: in Chile this type of tires are very expensive (US$500 each... )... Michelin Latitude or Goodyear Wrangler HP... US$ 800 app.
Today I receipt an e-mail from a tire dealer in my city and makes me a "good deal":

Super Discovery,
I cannot speak for that size, but we had 245/65/17 Cooper Discoverer H/T on our previous '05 VW Touareg. Were an excellent tire for the money. The came with a 60,000 mile tread life warranty. We traded the Touareg after putting ~65,000 miles on the tires and it was time to replace them (along with many other things). Great traction in the snow, even tread-wear, and good ride on road (as compared to the continental set I had on it before. Were excellent in the minor wheeling I did.
I would put them on another vehicle, and I would recommend them for you, unless you like to seriously off-road.
Good luck with your choice.

I have 16 inch Cooper's on my Discovery right now... the factory tires made it about 45,000 miles; I switched to Coopers (and a slightly narrower tire, which was a HUGE improvement on the rutted roads I was driving at the time) and have been happy since. I do mostly on-road driving, though many of those roads have been lower-than-average quality over about 3 years... Right now, I have about 53,000 miles on those Cooper's and they still look good - I'm sure they will make it to 60,000 or beyond without any trouble. Very happy with them, and they were a great price.

Thank you for your support... !
I think the ATR will be fine for my needs (60% on road - 40% off road) and the ST model is for 4x4 player (I think...) ...
My Discovery is parking the most part of the week.... and our routes are not so bad....
For the money, that prices are expensive (for us) but compared with other brands, it's not.
Waiting for another deals... I twisted my mind to ATR model...
Regards,
