Default Correct STI Wires?

For anyone that's installed STI wires did you have the same type of coil connectors on yours as the ones attached?

I had one that "clicked" into place and the rest, no matter how hard I pushed, wanted to "click"...once in place I was able to take them back out with minimal pressure...to the point that I'm worried they'll pop out while driving over rough/bumpy surfaces...

Did the place I ordered them from send me the wrong wires? I also noticed that the numbering of the wires was off, eg. the STI wire numbered 8 did not correspond to the length of #8 of the OEM wire, etc...

The 8mm STI are great wires and you have the wrong set, see the proper connection on the picture below.
Go to British Parts of Utah for the correct set.

Ugh, I'm not looking forward to doing this job again...my meathook hands are still bruised, but probably more so since I had the wrong wires for the job to begin with...

Thanks for the response Mike

Alright, received the right wires this time...the supplier I ordered them from thought I was crazy, and swore up and down that they should have been the right wires to begin with...nevertheless when I opened the new box they were different...different as in the right ones for my year disco...after a little bit of research it looks like they sent me a set for a 97 disco the 1st time...

Much easier install this time around with the right wires...install time was about 2.5 hours...about half the time it took me the 1st time around as I wrestled with the wrong wires trying to make them fit...

...a word of advice...double check that you receive the right wires...the box in which I received stated that they were for my year d2 on the outside...even the invoice stated that they should have been the right ones.

This is very interesting. I just ordered a set of the 8mm Kingsborne wires just before the hollidays, and they came with the wrong coil ends on them as well? could STI and Kingsborne be the same? Anyway, I called and they already were aware of the issue and shipped me out the correct set quickly. Nice looking wires, and since I am doing a head gasket job, it isn't a big deal to wait the extra couple days...
