Could regular gas cause a misfire?
I would start by doing just the plugs. If the wires and packs aren't causing the issue then just wait. That being said I keep a set of spare wires and at least one coil around in my spare parts bin so I don't have to wait on parts if something comes up.
Gonna get around to doing that!
The only time I've gotten a misfire code on my disco happened while I was running a tank of regular gas from a gas station out in the desert, I was out of premium that I brought along.... I was on my way home from a camp trip. That was probably 25-30k miles ago? I'm still running the same sparkalaters and wires today. I always run premium gas though....probably because of my misfire experience! idk....
I've ran D2's on gas that sat in them for 2-3 years and I didn't get a misfire lol. Gotta love 500.00 wonders with a full tank of 3 year old fuel lol and a bad CPS. If it was a personal vehicle I'd have drained it but a parts truck = let it run lol
Even before I did the O2 sensors and the exhaust smelled like rotten eggs I had put premium in it and once you switch to regular it's a noticeable decrease...
never again. it slouches to get up to like 40mph
