Default Crappy Atlantic British O2 Sensors

Sorry just venting...

I replaced my O2 sensors about 5 months ago bought them from Atlantic British. 1 of 4 was DOA straight out of the box and AB replaced it. Now 5 months later I have an O2 sensor that randomly dies. I can watch it on my scanner start off fine and then slowly go to 0 volts after about 30 minutes of driving. I'm sure AB will replace it but it stinks that I have to install it again. My engine is running perfectly (I drive around with my scanner on live data) so I know it is not another issue killing the sensor.

Anyone else have issues with AB O2 sensors?

They're a good company, give them a call and they'll help you out.
We've had tons of memebers order O2's from there without issue so give it another try.

They have a 1 year warranty so I know they will replace it. It just stinks that out of 5 O2 sensors I got from them 2 are bad. Changing front O2 sensors ain't exactly my idea of a good time. As much as I use AB and like them I've also got my share of run arounds from them.

Have you use any type of silicone( Armorall, silicone spay) around the grill or engine bay. Silicone fumes that are ingested into the engine will not burn and attach to the prob on the OS and cause premature failure.

Meetoo: which scanner do you have (and if it's hooked to a laptop, how's it mounted :-)?

I don't know what AB prices are, but Summit racing has a decent price on OEM sensors (made by NTK) http://www.summitracing.com/parts/NGK-25016
Bosch are repackaged NTK.

I have a Hawkeye scanner. It gives the voltage for each O2 sensors and the resistance for the heated one (rears I believe).
