Default Crucifix seals?

Going to start rebuilding my 4.6, but these AllMakes crucifix/cruciform seals do not look correct.
I can't find the old ones I removed months ago, but the seals that were in it, actually looked like a cross, and filled in the entire cross shaped opening on both sides of the rear main bearing cap.
The AllMakes are straight, with almost no cross shape at all. I don't want to use these, as I'm afraid it'll leak oil, badly.
Any advice? Am I missing something??
Thanks for any help.

These seals also stick out each side of the cap so much, that I have no idea how the cap will fit into the block without shearing the seals in half.

Hi Sixpack, get the LR part number and plug it into the Google search and the genuine LR and other makes will appear online. AB may have the correct part number, either them or ZG Photo.

No one has replaced these??

I'm not 100% these are correct, or how to install them without destroying them.

Anyone??

They do look a little thin... but I'm not sure. It definitely should not fill the entire width. The rest of the gap is filled up with hylomar and/or STC50050 (I think - check manual). I used genuine ones, they're only $5 bucks.

When installed they should poke up off the top about 3mm, then IIRC, gets trimmed.

Pay the money for good seals, especially in a spot like that where redoing it would be a major PITA.

Thank you sir!
That is what was in this engine, oem seals.
I wonder if anywhere in the U.S has those?(faster delivery)
and
Can anyone say why the aftermarket seals look so different than the oem? The seals would have to be cut in half, on each side, just so the cap would slide back down into the block.

I'll have to look and see if AB has a youtube video with that in it.
They sell the same kind of seals that I have now.

Things like this are about the only thing stealers are good for, they probably have them at the parts counter at your nearest LR Dealer

Hahaha
Closest dealer is 2.5-3 hr round trip
And I don't want to use vacation time to drive up during business hours.
