Default Cruise Control

I just got a 99' disco II. Reading the other post I found out what button is cruise control but I still can not get it to work. Anybody have any idea's. I called the local LR dealer but they said it could run any where for $100 to $700, anything from a fuse to the wiring. Second question anybody know what fuse it could be. Any help would be great.

Check your vacuum lines. I found all three of mine split right at the t-connector on the driver's side inner fender well. One line goes to the actuator bellows on the throttle body, one line goes forward to the vacuum canister/reserve canister, the third line goes through the firewall to the brake pedal switch. If you find a split line replace all three - I fixed mine for about $4... quite a savings over your dealer quote.

first check all of your fuses (except for marked airbag fuses) under hood and dash. if all are good I can explain where the cruise control ECU is and how to test all the wires to find your problem.

I believe it is number 16 and is a 10 amp. For the under the hood that is. I just had to replace mine. You will know if it is the under the hood fuse because it shares this with the horn. So if you horn is working then this fuse should be fine and not your issue.

Hey thanks for the help, it was my vacuum lines, one had a big hole it in, cut it after the hole and works great now.
