Default Cruise control issue (check search)

I did a search on this, but maybe I missed a key thread or something...

My cruise does not work, I'm not sure where to begin my trouble shooting....

I checked some vacuum lines on the drivers side, one line which was sliced up... I replaced it, CC worked again for a month or so, then it just died... Not sure what else to do? What parts should I check?

Check the destination of that vaccum line - some cruise control systems have sensitive parts that don't like the dirt that may have entered.

You should probably go back and replace all the vaccum lines for the cruise control, sounds like you have another cracked one.

Mike as always thanks for the response... here is a question... can you tell me where each line comes from and goes to and possibly how to access it? I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything, I bought the hose.. I see what looks like an actuator next to the throttle body, there is a hose out of that that goes to the t-fitting where two other lines meet up, where do those go, are those all the lines I need to be concerned with?

If you're finding bad hoses you should probably replace all of them. It's likely all the vaccum hoses under your hood came from the same batch of rubber - and will all begin to fail around the same time. Rubber is only good for so many heat cycles, and it's impossible to predict how many any one batch of products will last.

I agree, but I don't know where the other two hoses go to... Where do those hoses go at that tee fitting?

one goes in through the firewall to the brake switch. (You hit the brakes and loose vacuum) The other goes to the cruise control box mounted under the panel under the jack. LH front of the engine bay. Kinda a B to get to...
