Default Cruise control problem

My cruise control has not worked since I bought my Disco a couple years ago. I seldom do any long distance driving with it, so I've never given a serious effort to repair it till now.

My actuator by the intake manifold is good. I repaired/replaced the several portions of bad vacuum line i found. Lastly, today i installed a new CC vacuum pump.

The light on my cruise control button lights up, but still, nothing happens when I try to engage.

What am I missing?

I followed the vacuum line from the T connector back through my firewall to the brake pedal. I don't know exactly what I'm looking for, but everything seems in order... the line isn't split or cracked. Then, from the T forward, the line is good and plugs into the black hose connector on the vacuum pump.

Am I correct in assuming that the white connector on my CC vacuum pump is supposed to vent to the atmosphere, or is there a line that's supposed to connect to it?

Do I have my lines hooked up correctly? Are there more that I don't know about?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default RE: Cruise control problem

95% of the cruise control problems on LR's is because of a vacum leak.
Check the vacum line at the brake pedal switch. I took liquid tape and gooped up all the connections on my vacum lines for the cruise control. Anywhere there is a "T" or other type of connection just goop it all the way around. Let it dry and then you should be good to go.
