Default Cruise control problem since bumper removal???

So...I got my new tires installed last week, 265/65/18 Treadwright Gaurd Dog's (they look great). I also trimmed the bottom portion of the front bumper and removed the fog lights. I love the way everything looks BUT...my cruise doesn't work since I did it.

My thoughts:
When I removed the fog lights there were what I thought were vent hoses coming from the lights. I cut the hoses. I am now thinking maybe they were vacuum lines. I capped the lines but still no cruise control. I checked the RAVE manual, no vacuum harness I could find went to the fog lights. The removal instructions for the fog lights don't say anything about removing any hoses from the light assemblies.

I know you guys know WAY more about my truck than I do so I'm hoping for your help.
Thanks in advance!!

Jon

You cut your cruise vacuum lines.
Why would they have vacuum line going to the fog lights?
The cruise pump is behind there somewhere, you need to reattach those lines.

Were the hoses hard plastic?? If they were they were just the hoses for venting the fog lamps. I believe that maybe you might have disconnected the vacuum hose that runs by the right hand fender well. If the hose was old it probably just fell apart. Check all the hoses going to the CC pump .....

Dont want to steal the thread, but I just noticed that my cruise control doesnt work. The light comes on the dash when you press then button, but it wont ever enguage (first time ive been on the highway in awhile). Does anyone have pics of where these lines and pump are? dont think ive ever noticed, but im thinking now i might have jarred one up when i put the 285's in.

There are no cruise control related parts in the front of the truck, they are all back behind the battery.

Well if your truck is like mine the battery is in the FRONT of the truck on the right side.. Behind that the cruise control system is. I consider anything from the firewall foward the front of the truck. i.e. Front fender /frt hood/front clip. The cruise control components are in the engine bay...is that better?? Look on the right fender well in the ENGINE BAY for the hoses.
