Default Cruise Control Troubleshooting Problem

hello all,
I have a 2001 disco 2 se7 with alittle over 200k miles. my problem is the cruise control only functions properly when the radio is turned off. when the radio is on, the CC seems like to wants to work but then will surge the speed and then stop. I already replaced the hoses and looked at all the other parts that go to the CC system. any ideas would be appreciated

Unfortunately not. I was hoping someone on here would be able to point me in the right direction, but it seems people only know how to diagnose blown head gaskets or tell people to refer to the RAVE manual

Been searching here. Came across this post...
My cruise control was intermittently working. Sometimes when I turned on the car it would work, others it wouldn't. Also, sometimes the lights would mess with it.
It was a wiring issue. When I replaced my stock stereo with an aftermarket Pioneer and did all the wiring myself, include proper grounding, the cruise control issue went away. So I'm assuming a bad ground was throwing it off.
Not sure if it's a lead. Double checked ans cruise control and radio do NOT share a fuse. Thinking it's a voltage thing. That when cruise control and radio are on they can do OK until the CC accelerates the car, maybe asking for more amps or volts then it can get, and shuts down. Just a theory.
Do you have any LED interior light bulbs? I do.

That's interesting, I do intend on replacing the stock radio for something alittle more hip. LED lights are also something I am thinking about doing because my clock and temp control bulbs are burnt out. Have you had any problems?
