Default Cup holder question --

My 01 D'II has the center console cup holders but they are small. Searching around on the forum it seems like there was maybe two different types of cup holders for the center console but the small ones like mine were not around very long. They are basically big enough for a can of soda but nothing to much bigger. I am guessing maybe the same size as the small insert

Any way what I am after is the currents one dont hold my water bottle but it is close so thinking I can order a new set to remedy this. Looking on eBay I see BPUtah has just the top pieces which I think is all I might need since even the small ones have a base piece and I already have that in place. Anyone know if the base pieces are the same or not. Looks like just the one screw in the bottom middle of the top piece to attach it so dont see why it would work but curious if anyone had insite by chance

Go to British Parts of Utah, they sell the 03/04 style cup holder and they will hold nearly anything

Cup Holders

These are from AB, but I think they are a little cheaper than BPUtah. I just put some in mine about a year ago. Well worth the coin.

Just search e-bay man, buy a pair because your wife will be jealous and want one too.
It is also a good place to set your phone while driving so you can plug it into the cig lighter and the aux jack on the stereo.

My Iphone sits in the cup holders more than my drinks. I have the kind that screw to the center console adjacent to the gear selector. Mine came with the rig but I highly recommend flipping the coin and installing them. They hold big gulps!! Remember them ...?!

They work great with the iPhone5 because the headphone jack and the power port are both on the bottom, so stick the phone in the cup holder bottoms up and you can plug them both in.

Sounds like I am sold. I took the small ones out thinking they were a two piece setup but they of course are not so off to do some shopping
