Any tips on getting out of this, I’d be out if I could get the front wheels to grab but the left rear is on ice so it just spins and sends no power up front. I believe I can get myself out of this but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have room to jack the left rear corner and get some branches or something under the spinning tire?

possibly, I’m just nervous because it’s a pretty steep slope on ice. I guess it’s time to buy a winch for this thing.

Which wheels are spinning? If you have any straps in the car, you might be able to find a branch in the woods next to you that is slightly longer then the diameter of the wheel and strap it to the tire through the wheel spokes. Giving it power very slowly may allow the branch to Peg Leg the truck out of the hole. It would need to be a pretty substantial Branch probably at least 4-5 in diameter and not rotten. You obviously have internet access so I would look on YouTube at some videos of tractor extraction or something similar for getting out of mud. Is your traction control kicking in?

T/C isn’t helping me much but I’ll try srappibg the sticks because I’ve just been trying to put sticks and rocks under the tires but I’m not having much luck, it’s starting to snow now so things are getting quite interesting. I’ve got someone coming to help so hopefully I’ll be out of here somewhat soon

Spring is right around the corner.

Do you have any ratch straps? You can run them through the rims around the tire, so the ratching part is in the center of the tire, then slowly back up. Usually carry eight ratch straps at all times, since l wheel by myself 99% of the time. If you plan on continuing to wheel alone, you may want to look into proper recovery supplies, and food and water.

Judging by the looks of that road, you made a poor decision to travel down it...alone.

You need a chainsaw and some warm gloves. Cut down a tree or find one on the ground. Cut slats and place them in the ruts.
