Default Customization tips?

Well it's been a month of cleaning up mechanical items on my new 02 Disco II. There is one lingering item, the HG... but I want to wait a while to do it. I believe right now I am on 'borrowed' time. But in the meantime, I really wanted to start customizing my rig.

I really like the look of this front end, skid plate and winch bumper:

Also looking for suggestions for rock sliders that do the job but don't stand out, been looking at Rocky Road or Voyager Racks. Thoughts?

I just installed this inexpensive (relatively) winch bumper.

Bumper Front Winch Mount (DA5645 Same Fit As Part # DA5645 ) - Land Rover body panels/fittings/trim exterior from Atlantic British

AB has sales and thanks to drowsap I remembered to take advantage of the 20% columbus day sale, so $400 for it. It is well built and fit perfectly.

attached is a pic on my car. Hope this helps.

Front bumper Lucky8 Llc. - Take the road less traveled...

Rock Sliders w/o tree bars Lucky8 Llc. - Take the road less traveled...

with tree bars Lucky8 Llc. - Take the road less traveled...

For a roof rack I really like the Baja Racks Lucky8 Llc. - Take the road less traveled...

I know all the links look the same but they all go to the right part I think lol

I have the DII Baja Rack and really like it. As for sliders, I have the Columbia Overland Rock Sliders and they are great quality and fairly easy to install. They also don't sick out very far if that's something you like. I'm not sure how things are going at Columbia Overland recently, but when I bought my sliders and a few other things I didn't have any trouble.

The more I look at the pic you posted I really dig the way they did the driving lights in the grill. I wonder how bad it would be to mount up those on a DII. A low cost pair of LED square lights would be perfect.

In that one pic of your front bumper it looks like you had to trim a little off the bottom of the grill.

yes, it does require you to trim the grill a bit to fit. And if you want to put in a winch, you'd have to hack up the grill even more since it fits quite snug to the body.

I believe the more expensive terrafirm which this bumper generally copies also requires grill trimming on the 99-02. I think 03-04 might not need any trimming, but I don't have one of those, so I am not certain.

Please ditch the idea of spending any money on modifications before fixing your head gaskets....
